As a showroom, we want to fulfill all your fashion fancies. Beginning this Fall, édité will be releasing a seasonal trend forecasting article to keep you in touch with the looks walking off the runway and onto the streets.
While the world feels like it is unraveling at the seams, getting dressed up and dolled out has become the last box on our checklist. This shift in societal dressing has shifted all things fashion- from our buying habits, the production chain, and the introduction of the “seasonless” collection- and keeping up with the latest and greatest is harder than ever. So, leave the work to us to fix your fashion fallbacks. We have put together the top 10 trends of Fall 2020 for you to read, know, love- but most importantly shop.
Fur, Fur, and More Fur.
Upcycled, faux, vintage-you want it, we got it. The runway took notes from our furry friends and sported a timeless accessory this season, but with a twist. As fashion moves towards sustainability, this category has moved with it. Keep an eye out for these sustainable pieces in stores soon.
Underwear-but Make It Outerwear.
This trend has never been more timely. As we lounge around our homes during quarantine, the less-seen garments of our closets are making a break for it-the runway, we mean. Brands like Dior, Fendi, and Dolce & Gabbana made underwear outerwear, skivvies suit, lingerie looks. Our outerwear has gone with the wind, and frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.
The Ivy League Cardigan.
Since we couldn’t get into the real deal, we took that classic Ivy League look and made it our own. Keep the stripes- hold the mascot. We’re loving this cozy look that you can dress up or down. Keep an eye out for these comfy cardigans in stores soon.

It’s time to turn our eyes towards a print withstanding the test of time. This fall you should expect to see plaided-peoples bustling around town. However, the new decade is inspiring change in a traditional print. Sunny yellows, blues hues, and vibrant reds will fill those checked lines on your woolen coat. So whether you are off to work or a night out on the town, bear the cold with your catwalk-approved coat.
Black On Black.
New York’s favorite color is back (did she ever leave?). Slimming and reliable- a color that does more than our daily workout routine. It’s time to dust off that LBD this Fall and book yourself a nice (Zoom?) dinner for two.
Get On Your Glitz.
Sequins, it’s your time to shine. Labels like Bottega Veneta, ……, got on their glitz this season. With parties on hold thanks to COVID-19 (the plus one no one invited), these sequin staples may be the closest thing we get to a soirée.

It’s Tailor Time.
This look is disheveled-but the runway made it their own. This Fall we’re recreating the very look we aim to avoid: mismatched buttons, folded collars, and oversized outerwear. We’re breaking fashion’s rulebook, but hey- all the cool kids are doing it.

The Bigger the Blazer.
For many seasons, we have seen the blazer grow in popularity- and size. This season we saw oversized blazers making a statement. Paired with matching shorts or pants, these blazers will make waves this Fall. The bigger the blazer…the closer to God? Something like that…

Two, Three, Four Chains
You will see chains everywhere this Fall. Chains on bags, jewelry chains, chain embellishments- you name it. If you want to swim with the tide but not take it too far, layer some delicate chain necklaces and you’ll fit right in.
What we’re seeing? Your birthday suit, if it was a suit. Tone is down this Fall with tans, browns, and creams. Colors are being brought back to the core & neutrals are stepping out. Keep it simple or layer different tones up.
